Township of Amaranth road reconstruction project nominated for provincial infrastructure funding

Dufferin-Caledon: Sylvia Jones, MPP is pleased to announce that the Township of Amaranth has
been selected for the reconstruction of 20th Sideroad. The project cost is $1,805,000.

“Drivers who use the 20th Sideroad in Amaranth know the condition of this road and that
reconstruction is needed,” Jones said. “This infrastructure investment in our community is very
good news.”

Earlier this spring, my colleague, the Honourable Monte McNaughton, Minister of Infrastructure
launched a $30 billion integrated bilateral Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP).

This project in Amaranth is the second project announced in Dufferin County, Grand Valley’s
rebuild of Bridge 11 on Concession Road 2-3 was announced last week. Both of these projects
were part of the 49 province-wide projects that are being put forward as the first projects
announced under ICIP.

Ontario is investing in roads and bridges because that is what Ontarians rely on every day. When
complete, the 20th Sideroad reconstruction, at a cost of $1,805,000, now awaiting approval by the
federal government, will make an impact for drivers in our community.

Our government is listening and has heard the infrastructure needs of Dufferin-Caledon.
