CALEDON – Our government is investing over $1.5 million to support the 2026 RBC Canadian Open at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in Caledon, helping bring one of Canada’s premier sporting events to Dufferin-Caledon while supporting tourism, local businesses and good-paying jobs across the region.
The tournament is expected to attract more than 130,000 attendees and generate approximately $84 million in economic activity across the hospitality, event and tourism sectors. Ontario is also providing an additional $125,000 through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming’s Experience Ontario program, which supports festivals and events that encourage visitors to discover Ontario and strengthen local economies.
“Hosting the 2026 RBC Canadian Open at TPC Toronto Osprey Valley for a second year in a row is an exciting opportunity for Caledon and communities across our region,” said Sylvia Jones, MPP for Dufferin-Caledon. “This investment will help attract visitors from across Canada and around the world, support local businesses and tourism operators and showcase Dufferin-Caledon as a premier destination for world-class sporting events.”

Ontario’s investment is part of the government’s plan to protect and promote Ontario’s culture and heritage by supporting landmark events that attract visitors, strengthen communities and support economic growth. The funding also builds on the province’s broader investments in sport and recreation, including more than $54 million invested in Ontario’s sport and recreation industry in 2025 and the government’s $500 million Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund (CSRIF).
