ORANGEVILLE – On Friday, MPP Sylvia Jones met with Theatre Orangeville to announce that our government is investing nearly $20,000 through the 2026 Experience Ontario program to support Theatre Orangeville and its upcoming Summer Young Artist Festival and Young Company programming throughout July and August 2026.
This funding is part of a more than $20 million government investment to help municipalities and event organizers deliver high-quality programming and experiences for people of all ages.
“Our government is proud to support local events and festivals in Dufferin County that foster community connections and support our local economy,” said Sylvia Jones, MPP for Dufferin-Caledon. “The funding for Theatre Orangeville’s Summer Young Artist Festival and Young Company programs exemplifies the significant contributions arts and culture programs make to the community, and the unforgettable experiences they create.”
Experience Ontario 2026 is supporting festivals and events of all sizes across the province, strengthening tourism while celebrating the people, places and traditions that make Ontario unique.
“Programs like our summer Young Company musical and drama are about so much more than putting on a show,” said Jennifer Stewart, Artistic Director of Theatre Orangeville. “They give young people a place to discover what they’re capable of, build confidence, take creative risks and experience the incredible feeling of creating something together.
