Ontario Government Supporting Non-Profit Organizations in Dufferin County

July 15, 2025

The Government of Ontario is providing funding to local programs and services that help deliver critical community programming across Dufferin County.

DUFFERIN COUNTY ― The Ontario government is providing Dufferin County non-profit organizations (OR municipalities) with $517,500 in funding this year through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s (OTF) Capital grant stream. This funding will help make it easier for residents to access the critical programming, activities and spaces that make Dufferin a great place to live, work and play.

“Our government believes each recipient enriches the lives of people in Dufferin County and plays an important role in building a strong and prosperous economy in Ontario. That’s why I am proud they are receiving capital funding support,” said MPP Sylvia Jones, MPP for Dufferin-Caledon. “The recipients are pillars of our community, and this support will enable them to serve the people of Dufferin better and continue to make a positive difference.”

OTF’s Capital grant stream helps organizations improve their infrastructure, enabling them to continue delivering programs and services that Ontarians need to thrive. Whether it’s purchasing equipment, building a new space, or completing renovations, retrofits, or repairs, these grants support projects that are making a difference in Dufferin.

In Dufferin County, the organizations receiving funding include:

  • Mulmur Township,
  • The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 233,
  • The Orangeville Curling Club
  • Town of Shelburne.

These capital grants are part of the more than $28 million supporting 300 local programs and services that help deliver critical community programming across the province.

The capital program is part of the government’s plan to protect Ontario by supporting workers, businesses, communities, and jobs in the face of ongoing economic uncertainty, while creating a solid foundation for a strong, resilient, and competitive future.

“Across Ontario, non-profit organizations are delivering critical programming that is helping people train for new careers, stay active, learn new things and connect with their community – that’s why capital grant support is so important,” said Stan Cho, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming. “Now more than ever, it is crucial we support homegrown experiences that build stronger communities, strengthen local economies and celebrate our collective identity. This funding will help ensure facilities and spaces are accessible, modern and central to communities across our province.”
