(Ottawa) – Yesterday, MPP Sylvia Jones, Dufferin-Caledon wrapped up her participation at the annual Association of Municipalities Ontario (AMO) Conference. “I was pleased to have met with many municipalities including the Town of Caledon and the Region of Peel to discuss their communities,” said Jones.

“As the Progressive Conservative Critic for Infrastructure, I know the importance of an effective working relationship between the province and its municipal partners in delivering what Ontarians expect: well-maintained infrastructure,” said Jones.

“I heard many from municipalities regarding the government’s broken infrastructure promises. From Kitchener two-way, all-day GO service to the GTA West Corridor, this government continues to make promises and fails to follow through,” said Jones.

“More widely, municipalities raised concern about the increasing difficulty paying for the infrastructure Ontarians expect,” said Jones.

“I will continue advocating for municipalities to ensure that the Ministry of Infrastructure is spending tax dollars with the care and detail that Ontarians expect,” said Jones.
